Who are the midwives in this practice?
Midwives of Georgian Bay is a small midwifery practice with three midwives: Cheyenne Clark, Claire Rogers and Judy Rogers. In September, we are excited to welcome Rhiannon Cook.
Midwives of Georgian Bay is also supported by locum midwives who provide support in clinic, home vists or at hospital. Our primary locum midwife is Susie Martin. For home births, we also work with Second Attendants, Sarah Mahon and Heather Jones. Both Sarah and Heather are Registered Nurses with experience in providing maternal and newborn care. Heather is also a Certified International Lactation Consultant.
All midwives are registered with the College of Midwives of Ontario. All midwives and Second Attendants maintain up-to-date certification in obstetrical emergency skills, neonatal resuscitation, basic life support and fetal health surveillance.
Catchment Area
The area we serve is Parry Sound and surrounding communities. First Nations: Henvey Inlet, Magnetawan, Shawanaga, Wasauksing and Moose Deer Point. Britt, town of Magnetawan, McKellar, Orrville, Humphrey, Rosseau, Glen Orchard and MacTier.
